Online ordering for street food
No fixed address. Still your own customers.
A truck's whole business is a queue at a pitch you might not be at next week. Order-ahead turns the queue into a collection window, and a customer list means the people who found you at the festival can find you again on a Tuesday.

What actually gets in the way
One hatch is the whole kitchen
Capacity per fifteen-minute window is the difference between a manageable service and a forty-minute queue that walks away. Set the cap to what one hatch can plate.
The pitch changes, the link does not
Your ordering link stays the same wherever you are trading. Update the location and collection times for the day; the regulars follow the link, not the postcode.
The festival crowd disappears
Three thousand covers in a weekend and not one contactable customer is the standard street food outcome. Direct orders build a list you keep after the site clears.
Cash-free without a queue at the card machine
Guests pay on their own phone when they order. Nobody stands at the hatch waiting for a terminal to connect on festival wifi.

We opened with Storekit. I don't think we could have made the model work without it.

Things operators ask
We trade at a different location most days. Does that work?
Yes. Trading times and collection location are set per day, so the same ordering link serves Tuesday's business park and Saturday's market. Guests see where and when they can collect before they order.
What happens when there is no signal at the pitch?
Orders are placed on the guest's own phone over their own connection, so a weak signal on your device does not stop trade. The dashboard runs on any phone or tablet, and orders queue and sync when the connection returns.
Is it worth it for a single truck?
The pricing makes it hard to argue against: Basic is free, a flat rate per order, no contract. The real return is the customer list. A truck that leaves a festival with two thousand contactable guests has a different business from one that leaves with an empty gazebo.
